2023 TBR LIST
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Welcome to the first post for 2023! To kickstart this hopefully wonderful new year, I thought I'd begin with a TBR (to-be-read) post. Below is listed my TBR list for 2023, and boy do I have a lot to get through! This year will be a busy year for me, so I am hoping to get as much reading done as possible. I don't have a set number of books I want to read this year, however, I have a goal to make a dent in my TBR list and hopefully read most of the books listed below.
As mentioned before, I have become a mood reader and I absolutely hate it. No hate on mood readers- if that works for you, that's awesome! But for me, mood reading has caused me issues with picking my reads lately as I don't know what I'm in the mood to read these days! To hopefully break this habit, my fellow bookstagram bestie Sieni from @cnesbookshelf (go and follow her, she's amazing!) gave me the idea to write my TBR titles on pieces of paper and place them in a jar. So, when I finish one book, I will randomly pick a title from the jar and have to read the book selected...no ifs or buts! I thought this would be a fantastic way to break the mood reading cycle...and if it doesn't, then who knows how many books I will read this year LOL!
I don't know about you, but I can't read non-fiction and I'm not sure why. Could it be because its too real that I find it boring? I'm not too sure. However, I would like to expand my reading and give non-fiction a go, and to see why my husband enjoys it so much. To encourage this change, I have challenged myself to read at least one non-fiction book this year. Luckily, my husband is an avid non-fiction reader, so I will poach one of his books that he highly recommends.
Anyway, here is my 2023 TBR List. Let me know if any of these books are on your TBR lists, and maybe we can arrange a buddy read!

As you can see, I have a LARGE TBR list and I honestly think I should put myself on a book buying ban throughout 2023...but we all know that won't last. And if it wasn't obvious that I've never read a non-fiction book, I think it's obvious now!
A lot of these books listed above under my fiction TBR have been sitting on my bookshelf for a very, very long time. I mean, it's a little embarrassing that I haven't read The Night Circus yet, especially since its been on my bookshelf from 2015. Hopefully I will get around to reading it this year!
Wish me luck with my TBR list and hopefully I can stick to it!
Until next week,
Andrea.
